Is 1 a multiple of 3?
Here we will illustrate two ways to figure out if 1 is a multiple of 3.
One way would be to list all of the multiples of 3 and check if 1 is one of the numbers.
Multiples of 3 are 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30 and so on.
Since 1 is not on the list of multiples of 3, the answer to the question "Is 1 a multiple of 3?" is: No.
Another way, would be to simply divide 1 by 3. If the result is a positive integer, then 1 is a multiple of 3.
1 divided by 3 equals 0.333, which is not a positive integer. Once again, the answer to our question is: No.
