Is 3 a multiple of 2?
Here we will illustrate two ways to figure out if 3 is a multiple of 2.
One way would be to list all of the multiples of 2 and check if 3 is one of the numbers.
Multiples of 2 are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and so on.
Since 3 is not on the list of multiples of 2, the answer to the question "Is 3 a multiple of 2?" is: No.
Another way, would be to simply divide 3 by 2. If the result is a positive integer, then 3 is a multiple of 2.
3 divided by 2 equals 1.500, which is not a positive integer. Once again, the answer to our question is: No.
