Is 3 a multiple of 4?
Here we will illustrate two ways to figure out if 3 is a multiple of 4.
One way would be to list all of the multiples of 4 and check if 3 is one of the numbers.
Multiples of 4 are 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40 and so on.
Since 3 is not on the list of multiples of 4, the answer to the question "Is 3 a multiple of 4?" is: No.
Another way, would be to simply divide 3 by 4. If the result is a positive integer, then 3 is a multiple of 4.
3 divided by 4 equals 0.750, which is not a positive integer. Once again, the answer to our question is: No.
